Katalox Light functions as a catalytic oxidizer, converting dissolved ferrous iron and hydrogen sulfide into filterable particles without chlorine injection or chemical maintenance. The media's manganese dioxide coating accelerates oxidation while capturing manganese and arsenic alongside primary contaminants. INDOCARB® carbon follows, reducing residual taste, organic compounds, and disinfection byproducts that often accompany well contamination.

The system operates through a Clack WS1 digital control valve that automates backwash cycles based on water usage and system demand. This prevents media fouling and ensures consistent treatment under variable well conditions common in private supplies. With a 64,000-grain capacity and two cubic feet of media volume, the Ultra 64K supports medium-sized homes with two to four occupants and two to three bathrooms.
