Description
The Invisible Problem
In commercial and large residential environments, iron contamination operates at a different scale. What begins as trace amounts in groundwater quickly becomes visible damage across dozens of fixtures, appliances, and high-use plumbing systems. With 240,000 grains of capacity and 8 cubic feet of specialized media, iron enters the building continuously, oxidizing inside pipes, water heaters, commercial dishwashers, laundry equipment, and HVAC systems. Orange and brown stains appear on every surface iron-rich water contacts. Equipment efficiency drops as sediment accumulates. Maintenance intervals shorten. Downtime increases.
At higher flow rates and usage volumes, even small concentrations of dissolved iron cause disproportionate damage. Multi-unit buildings, hospitality properties, food service operations, and large homes experience compounding effects. Guests notice staining. Appliances require earlier replacement. Energy costs rise as scale-insulated heating elements work harder. Without commercial-grade treatment, the cost of iron contamination grows exponentially with building size and occupancy. For facilities managing well water at this scale, understanding how iron removal systems integrate into commercial infrastructure is essential to protecting long-term investment and operational reliability.
The Certified Solution
The WellFusion™ Elite 240K employs 8 cubic feet of advanced ion exchange resin housed in an 18" × 65" mineral tank, engineered to handle dissolved iron, manganese, and hydrogen sulfide at commercial flow rates up to 60 gallons per minute. The Aldex C-800 10% cross-linked resin provides superior capacity and durability under continuous operation, while the Clack WS2 (2-inch) control valve ensures high-efficiency backwash cycles calibrated for heavy-duty service.
Every component is manufactured in the USA and tested at our Florida facility before shipment. The system meets NSF/ANSI 44 and NSF/ANSI Standard 372 certifications, ensuring compliance with lead-free plumbing regulations and performance standards required for commercial applications. The oversized valve and 2-inch NPT input and output lines support sustained flow without pressure loss, while the high-capacity resin bed maintains treatment effectiveness across extended service cycles. Backwash requires approximately 11 to 12 gallons per minute and operates automatically on a programmed schedule, regenerating the media bed and flushing captured contaminants without manual intervention.
The system operates within 20 to 125 psi supply pressure and temperatures ranging from 40° to 110°F, making it adaptable to diverse installation environments. With a service life of 10 to 15 years when properly maintained, the WellFusion™ Elite 240K provides long-term protection for commercial plumbing systems, appliances, and water-dependent equipment. When iron contamination appears alongside sulfur odor in well water, explore how coordinated sulfur removal systems address both contaminants simultaneously for complete treatment.
Pure Water Living
After installation, water quality transforms across the entire facility. Fixtures that required daily cleaning stay cleaner for weeks. Commercial laundry emerges without discoloration. Dishwashers operate without spotting glassware. Water heaters maintain efficiency without iron sediment fouling tanks and elements. Maintenance teams spend less time scrubbing stains and more time on productive tasks. Equipment operates as engineered, extending replacement intervals and reducing operational costs. Confidence in building water quality returns, whether serving residents, guests, or customers. Showers deliver consistent comfort. Coffee and beverage equipment produce better-tasting results. Ice machines generate clear, odor-free ice. The difference is measurable in every use, every day. Pure Water. Pure Trust.
