Description
When Irrigation Water Becomes a Landscaping Problem
Many homeowners invest in beautiful landscaping only to discover that their irrigation system leaves behind orange stains, brown discoloration, and rust deposits on nearly every surface it touches. Well water containing dissolved iron and manganese may appear clear when pumped from the ground, but once exposed to oxygen through sprinklers, these minerals quickly oxidize and attach to concrete, siding, fences, stone, outdoor furniture, and plant surfaces.
Over time, iron also accumulates inside sprinkler heads, valves, drip emitters, and irrigation piping, reducing water flow and increasing maintenance. Treating irrigation water before it enters the sprinkler system helps protect both your landscape investment and the irrigation equipment that keeps it healthy.
Where Does Iron in Irrigation Water Cause Problems?
- Orange and brown stains on sidewalks, driveways, and patios
- Rust staining on fences, retaining walls, and building exteriors
- Clogged sprinkler heads and drip irrigation emitters
- Reduced irrigation performance caused by mineral buildup
- Discoloration on decorative stone, outdoor fixtures, and landscaping features
That's why the WellFusion™ Well Irrigation Iron Removal System is engineered specifically for irrigation water treatment, reducing iron before it reaches the sprinkler system.
Engineering Designed for Outdoor Water Treatment
The WellFusion™ Well Irrigation Iron Removal System uses specialized oxidation and filtration media designed to capture oxidized iron and manganese while maintaining the high flow rates required for irrigation systems. As water passes through the treatment media, dissolved iron is converted into filterable particles that are retained within the mineral bed instead of reaching sprinkler heads and outdoor surfaces.
Automatic backwashing periodically cleans the filtration media by flushing accumulated contaminants to drain, restoring system performance without salt or chemical regenerants. This process helps maintain consistent flow while minimizing routine maintenance and protecting long-term filtration efficiency.
Built with heavy-duty components designed for continuous outdoor operation, the system supports residential, estate, and light commercial irrigation systems where dependable iron removal is essential for protecting landscaping and irrigation infrastructure.
Pure Water Living
Healthy landscaping should enhance the beauty of your property, not create additional maintenance. By reducing iron before water enters the irrigation system, lawns remain greener, hardscape surfaces stay cleaner, and sprinkler systems continue operating efficiently throughout the growing season.
Homeowners spend less time removing rust stains from sidewalks, pressure washing patios, replacing clogged sprinkler heads, and repairing irrigation components damaged by iron buildup. The result is a cleaner landscape, lower maintenance costs, and irrigation equipment designed to perform reliably for years.
That's what happens when irrigation water is treated before it reaches your landscape. Pure Water. Pure Trust.
Completing Your Water Strategy
The WellFusion™ Well Irrigation Iron Removal System is dedicated to treating irrigation water and protecting outdoor surfaces. Homes using well water for indoor plumbing may also benefit from whole-house iron filtration, water softening, or drinking water filtration to provide complete water treatment throughout the property.
