Description
The Invisible Chemical Cocktail in Commercial Water
Municipal water arrives treated for safety, but commercial operations face a different challenge entirely. High-volume water use magnifies every contaminant present in city supplies. Chlorine, trihalomethanes, haloacetic acids, and volatile organic compounds pass through municipal treatment plants in concentrations deemed acceptable for residential use, but when multiplied across hundreds or thousands of gallons per day, the cumulative exposure becomes significant.
In commercial kitchens, chlorine alters the taste of prepared foods and beverages. In hospitality settings, guests notice chemical odors rising from showers and sinks. In healthcare and manufacturing, disinfection byproducts interfere with processes requiring neutral, odor-free water. Standard carbon filtration, designed for residential flow rates, cannot maintain contaminant reduction under sustained commercial demand. Media beds saturate quickly, pressure drops increase, and breakthrough occurs long before expected service intervals.
That is where the AquaProTec Elite 600K Commercial Catalytic Carbon Filter begins, with a 20-cubic-foot catalytic carbon bed housed in a 30" x 72" mineral tank engineered to handle up to 250 GPM at operating pressures between 20 and 125 PSI. This is not residential-scale filtration adapted for commercial use. This is purpose-built equipment designed to oxidize and remove the compounds that municipal treatment leaves behind, under the flow rates and duty cycles that commercial operations demand. For facilities requiring integrated municipal water improvement, explore our Complete City Water Treatment Systems designed for comprehensive point-of-entry protection.
The Certified Solution: Catalytic Oxidation Meets American Engineering
The AquaProTec Elite 600K employs INDOCARB E124 Catalytic Carbon, a specialized media that does not simply adsorb contaminants like standard granular activated carbon. Catalytic carbon accelerates chemical oxidation reactions, breaking down chloramines, phenols, polyaromatic hydrocarbons, and disinfection byproducts at the molecular level. This enhanced reactivity extends media life and maintains consistent removal efficiency even under continuous high-flow conditions that would overwhelm conventional carbon beds.
The system is built around a 30" x 72" commercial-grade mineral tank paired with a Clack WS3 3-inch control valve, providing automated backwash cycles that maintain bed porosity and prevent channeling. Operating at flow rates up to 250 GPM with a manageable pressure drop, the system supports commercial kitchens, laundry facilities, hotels, schools, and light industrial applications without restricting supply during peak demand periods. Every component meets NSF/ANSI Standard 61 for drinking water system components and carries WQA Gold Seal Certification, ensuring compliance with professional water quality standards.
Manufactured in the USA with commercial-grade construction, the AquaProTec Elite 600K is designed for installations where downtime is not an option and water quality cannot vary with load. The system operates between 40°F and 100°F across standard commercial pressures, with 3" NPT or BSPT inlet and outlet connections and a 3" drain line for efficient backwash discharge. Pure Water Living: The Result You Experience Daily
Water treated through the AquaProTec Elite 600K no longer carries the sharp chemical bite of chlorine or the hazy residue of organic compounds. In commercial kitchens, coffee brewers produce cleaner extractions. Ice machines form clear, neutral-tasting cubes. Dishwashers rinse cleaner without residual chlorine film. In hospitality settings, guests experience showers free from chemical odors and laundry emerges fresher without absorbing disinfectant smells.
These improvements extend beyond sensory quality. Equipment lasts longer. Maintenance intervals extend. Complaints decrease. Operational efficiency increases. With a service life extending 10 to 15 years under proper maintenance, the system protects not only water quality but also the infrastructure, appliances, and reputation that depend on consistent, high-quality water flowing through them every hour of operation. Pure Water. Pure Trust.

Warranty
AQUALIVIA Warranty
At AQUALIVIA, we stand behind the quality of our water treatment systems. Every product is built to last, and we are proud to offer strong warranty coverage for peace of mind. You deal with one company: us. AQUALIVIA is your warrantor, so there is no manufacturer to chase and no one else to negotiate with. One claim, one contact.
What's covered
Coverage is parts-only, for the original purchaser, and runs from the delivery date.
Tanks and core components:
- Mineral tanks: 10 years (up to 13" x 54"), 5 years for larger tanks
- Control valves: 5 years
- Brine tanks: 5 years
- Accessories and components: 1 year
By product:

Every system: 30-day defect-on-arrival guarantee
"System only" means the unit is covered, but the filters, membranes, cartridges, and lamps inside it are consumables.
What's not covered
- Consumables and wear items: filters, resins, membranes, UV lamps, cartridges, and salt (except a defect on arrival)
- Damage caused by misuse, freezing, flooding, storms, power surges, or improper installation
- Damage caused by a non-AQUALIVIA part, or by operating the system outside normal water conditions or its rated specification
- Installation, labor, plumbing, and property costs
Using a non-AQUALIVIA replacement filter or part does not by itself void your warranty. What is not covered is damage that such a part actually causes.
Reverse osmosis, please note
Under-sink RO systems require professional installation, and we strongly recommend a leak sensor with automatic shutoff in the cabinet. Please read the RO Installation Requirements before installing.
