Description

The Hidden Cost of Scale in High-Volume Operations

When commercial operations demand consistent soft water, standard residential equipment simply cannot deliver. Multifamily properties, restaurants, medical facilities, and professional services all depend on reliable water systems that protect equipment investments, maintain operational standards, and prevent the interruptions that come from undersized or poorly matched treatment. Scale buildup in boilers, dishwashers, and laundry systems reduces efficiency, increases energy consumption, and shortens equipment lifespan. For businesses, that translates directly into downtime, repair costs, and lost productivity.

The EVOSOFT™ Elite 480K Grain Dual Alternating Commercial Water Softener is engineered to eliminate these risks. Designed for high-capacity applications where continuous soft water is non-negotiable, this system delivers industrial-grade performance with precision control. To better understand how businesses can protect critical equipment and reduce maintenance costs, explore our guide to commercial water treatment systems for professional applications.

The Certified Engineering Behind 480,000-Grain Capacity

This dual alternating system operates through ion exchange using Aldex C-800 10% crosslinked resin, a media grade specifically engineered for high-chlorine municipal water environments. Unlike standard 8% crosslink resin, C-800 maintains structural integrity even under prolonged chemical exposure, extending service life and preserving capacity over years of continuous operation. With 16 cubic feet of resin media distributed across two 18" × 65" mineral tanks, the system delivers 480,000 grains of total hardness removal capacity, supporting high-volume operations without performance degradation.

The Clack WS2 (2") control valve provides industrial-scale flow management with programmable regeneration cycles based on actual water usage. This valve operates reliably in environments requiring 20 to 80 psi supply pressure and flow rates up to 60 gallons per minute, making it suitable for high-demand applications where water must remain soft under stress. The dual-tank configuration ensures continuous operation. While one tank regenerates, the other remains in service, eliminating interruptions to daily operations. This alternating design is essential for facilities that cannot tolerate downtime or reduced water pressure during regeneration cycles.

Every component meets NSF/ANSI certification standards, including NSF 44 for softening performance, NSF 61 for material safety, and NSF 372 for lead-free compliance. Each system is assembled and tested in the USA before shipment. For facilities requiring coordinated treatment of multiple water challenges, our collection of commercial water softeners for businesses and facilities provides additional planning resources.

Pure Water Living at Commercial Scale

Soft water throughout a facility changes daily operations. Equipment lasts longer, cleaning becomes more efficient, and water-dependent processes deliver consistent results. Glass sparkles in commercial dishwashers. Laundry equipment cycles faster with better detergent performance. Heating and cooling systems operate without scale-induced inefficiency. Maintenance schedules stabilize, and the compounding costs of hard water damage disappear.

For multifamily properties, residents experience the same comfort benefits found in single-family systems: softer skin, healthier hair, cleaner fixtures. For hospitality operations, guest satisfaction improves. For medical and food service environments, water quality consistency supports compliance and safety. This is the standard that well-engineered soft water delivers across every application. Pure Water. Pure Trust.

Highly recommend for any commercial application

We installed this at our veterinary hospital in Alpharetta. Water quality matters a lot in a medical setting. The softener handles our full facility load easily and the dual alternating design means we always have soft water even during peak surgical prep times.

Chlorine taste completely gone

Our office building in Tampa pulls city water and the chlorine taste was something staff complained about constantly from the break room sink. Since the EVOSOFT Elite 480K went in, not one complaint. Clean, neutral taste throughout the building.

3 stars for now, updating later

Installation just finished last week. Water quality already seems improved but I want to give it a full month before rating higher. The product itself seems solid and the aqualivia team was great to deal with. Will update.

Outstanding commercial softener

We have been in the hospitality business for 22 years and have used many water treatment systems. The EVOSOFT Elite 480K is the best commercial softener we have installed. The dual alternating design is the right call for any operation that cannot tolerate hard water gaps.

Huge upgrade

Our salon in Coral Gables was struggling with hard water buildup on styling equipment and our clients could feel the difference in their hair. After installing the AquaLivia EVOSOFT Elite, every wash is noticeably smoother and the equipment is staying cleaner much longer.

Reverse osmosis, please note
Under-sink RO systems require professional installation, and we strongly recommend a leak sensor with automatic shutoff in the cabinet. Please read the RO Installation Requirements before installing.
