Description
The Invisible Problem
Private well water rarely presents isolated problems. When elevated hardness minerals combine with dissolved iron and hydrogen sulfide gas, the result is a compounding water quality challenge that accelerates equipment failure and creates persistent odor, staining, and scale buildup throughout the home. Hard water minerals form thick deposits inside pipes and water heaters, restricting flow and reducing heating efficiency. Iron oxidizes into rust-colored stains on sinks, tubs, and laundry. Sulfur releases a rotten egg odor during showers and cooking. Together, these contaminants promote bacterial growth, corrode plumbing faster, and overwhelm conventional filtration strategies designed to address only one issue at a time.
The ScaleProTec™ Max 90K was engineered specifically for these conditions. It combines three specialized media layers inside a dual-stage configuration designed to treat hardness, iron, and sulfur at the point of entry before water reaches any fixture or appliance. For homeowners managing multiple well water issues, understanding broader treatment approaches through complete well water systems provides insight into how coordinated solutions outperform single-purpose equipment.
The Certified Solution
FILTERSORB® SP3 restructures hardness minerals at the molecular level, preventing scale adhesion while allowing existing buildup to gradually dissolve. FILTERSORB® CT® neutralizes dissolved iron and sulfur through controlled catalytic oxidation, eliminating odor and discoloration before they reach plumbing. High-grade activated carbon removes residual taste, organic compounds, and trace metals that affect water clarity and confidence. Unlike traditional softeners that require salt delivery, brine mixing, and timed regeneration cycles, this system operates continuously without downtime, chemical additives, or wastewater discharge.
The 2.5 cubic feet of media volume ensures proper contact time even during peak demand periods across four to six occupants. Flow rates remain stable at 27 gallons per minute with minimal pressure drop, delivering consistent protection to multiple bathrooms, laundry areas, and outdoor connections simultaneously. Every component meets NSF/ANSI certification standards for materials safety and performance, and all manufacturing occurs in the United States using commercial-grade materials engineered to exceed residential service expectations. For those evaluating alternatives to traditional ion exchange softening, exploring salt-free water conditioners clarifies when this approach delivers the most value.
Pure Water Living
When scale no longer accumulates inside water heaters, heating elements operate at full efficiency and energy costs drop. When iron stops oxidizing inside plumbing, fixtures stay cleaner and laundry comes out brighter without the stiff texture or lingering metallic odor. When sulfur is neutralized at the source, showers feel fresh and coffee tastes neutral. These improvements are not cosmetic. They represent the difference between water that causes ongoing damage and water that supports daily life without compromise or constant maintenance.
The system installs at the point of entry, treating all water before it reaches any fixture, appliance, or tap. This whole-house approach ensures consistent results across kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, and outdoor connections. Maintenance requirements are minimal: an annual inspection of flow direction and bypass seals. No salt. No backwash. No brine discharge. Pure Water. Pure Trust.

At AQUALIVIA, we stand behind the quality of our water treatment systems. Every product is built to last, and we are proud to offer strong warranty coverage for peace of mind. You deal with one company: us. AQUALIVIA is your warrantor, so there is no manufacturer to chase and no one else to negotiate with. One claim, one contact.
What's covered
Coverage is parts-only, for the original purchaser, and runs from the delivery date.
Tanks and core components:
- Mineral tanks: 10 years (up to 13" x 54"), 5 years for larger tanks
- Control valves: 5 years
- Brine tanks: 5 years
- Accessories and components: 1 year
By product:

Every system: 30-day defect-on-arrival guarantee
"System only" means the unit is covered, but the filters, membranes, cartridges, and lamps inside it are consumables.
What's not covered
- Consumables and wear items: filters, resins, membranes, UV lamps, cartridges, and salt (except a defect on arrival)
- Damage caused by misuse, freezing, flooding, storms, power surges, or improper installation
- Damage caused by a non-AQUALIVIA part, or by operating the system outside normal water conditions or its rated specification

Using a non-AQUALIVIA replacement filter or part does not by itself void your warranty. What is not covered is damage that such a part actually causes.
Reverse osmosis, please note
Under-sink RO systems require professional installation, and we strongly recommend a leak sensor with automatic shutoff in the cabinet. Please read the RO Installation Requirements before installing.
