Description
When Limescale Forms Where You Cannot See It
Calcium and magnesium pass through untreated city water every day. You notice chalky spots on faucets, but most of the damage occurs inside water heaters, pipes, and appliances where mineral crystals quietly harden. Over time, these deposits insulate heating elements, restrict flow, and shorten equipment lifespan. Hard water also makes soap less effective, leaving skin feeling tight and fabrics looking dull. The ScaleProTec™ Ultra 64K addresses these issues at the point of entry using a two-stage approach designed for municipal water supplies.
The Certified Solution
This system begins with FILTERSORB® SP3, a template-assisted crystallization media engineered in the USA. As water flows through the conditioning tank, mineral ions are restructured into microscopic crystals that remain suspended in water rather than bonding to surfaces. This prevents scale formation without removing beneficial minerals or requiring salt, brine discharge, or regeneration cycles. Following conditioning, water passes through an INDOCARB® E124 catalytic carbon filter that reduces chlorine, disinfection by-products such as THMs and HAA5, and organic contaminants that affect taste and odor. Both stages operate continuously without electricity, backwashing, or chemical addition.
The system includes dual 12" × 52" mineral tanks, each filled with 2 cubic feet of media, and a Clack WS1 control valve that manages flow direction. All components are built to NSF/ANSI Standard 61 for materials safety and NSF/ANSI 44 for performance. The system delivers up to 27 gallons per minute at a 15 psi pressure drop, supporting multi-story homes with standard municipal pressure between 50 and 70 psi. Because the system does not remove hardness minerals, water retains calcium and magnesium for taste while reducing their tendency to form scale. For families seeking cleaner, softer-feeling water without the maintenance of traditional softening, this approach delivers both convenience and performance. To better understand how municipal water quality differs from private supplies, read about well water treatment systems.
Pure Water Living
Water feels noticeably different. Soap lathers more easily. Showers rinse cleaner. Coffee and ice taste neutral, without chlorine or chemical notes. Dishes dry without cloudy residue. Water heaters maintain efficiency longer. Appliances like dishwashers and washing machines operate as designed, without gradual mineral interference. Plumbing fixtures stay clearer with less buildup. These improvements appear within days and continue as long as the system remains in service. Maintenance is limited to annual inspection of bypass seals and flow direction confirmation. No salt handling. No timers. No drain line discharge. Just continuous protection engineered to last 10 to 15 years under normal residential use. Pure Water. Pure Trust.
Completing Your Water Strategy
While the ScaleProTec™ Ultra 64K protects plumbing and improves overall water quality, drinking water may benefit from additional purification. Municipal water often contains trace contaminants, pharmaceuticals, and dissolved solids that conditioning and carbon alone cannot fully address. To ensure your family's drinking water meets the highest standard, consider adding targeted point-of-use filtration at the kitchen sink for final-stage contaminant reduction and exceptional clarity. Explore under-sink water filters for enhanced drinking water protection.

AQUALIVIA Warranty
At AQUALIVIA, we stand behind the quality of our water treatment systems. Every product is built to last, and we are proud to offer strong warranty coverage for peace of mind. You deal with one company: us. AQUALIVIA is your warrantor, so there is no manufacturer to chase and no one else to negotiate with. One claim, one contact.
What's covered
Coverage is parts-only, for the original purchaser, and runs from the delivery date.
Tanks and core components:
- Mineral tanks: 10 years (up to 13" x 54"), 5 years for larger tanks
- Control valves: 5 years
- Brine tanks: 5 years
- Accessories and components: 1 year
By product:
- AQUAREX Whole House Filter: 5 years
- OZONEX Ozone Systems: 1 year

- HydroClear: 1 year (system only)
- AquaRevive Holding Tank: 3 years
- AquaRevive Reverse Osmosis: 1 year (system only)
Every system: 30-day defect-on-arrival guarantee
"System only" means the unit is covered, but the filters, membranes, cartridges, and lamps inside it are consumables.
What's not covered
- Consumables and wear items: filters, resins, membranes, UV lamps, cartridges, and salt (except a defect on arrival)
- Damage caused by misuse, freezing, flooding, storms, power surges, or improper installation
- Damage caused by a non-AQUALIVIA part, or by operating the system outside normal water conditions or its rated specification
- Installation, labor, plumbing, and property costs
Using a non-AQUALIVIA replacement filter or part does not by itself void your warranty. What is not covered is damage that such a part actually causes.
Reverse osmosis, please note
Under-sink RO systems require professional installation, and we strongly recommend a leak sensor with automatic shutoff in the cabinet. Please read the RO Installation Requirements before installing.
