Description
The Silent Threat in Untreated Well Water
Sulfur odors in well water signal more than an unpleasant smell. When hydrogen sulfide gas rises from groundwater, it transforms showers into sulfur vapor chambers, laundry into odor-saturated fabric, and drinking water into something no one wants to touch. Even at concentrations measured in parts per billion, the rotten egg smell becomes unbearable. The issue intensifies when hot water releases sulfur compounds into the air, filling bathrooms and kitchens with a persistent chemical presence that guests notice immediately.
Beyond discomfort, sulfur accelerates corrosion inside water heaters, damages plumbing fixtures, and interacts with other well water contaminants to create compounding water quality failures. Standard filtration cannot address hydrogen sulfide effectively because the gas requires oxidation and specialized media contact before it can be captured. Without proper treatment at the point of entry, sulfur odors worsen over time as sulfur bacteria colonize plumbing systems and create biofilm that releases additional odor compounds.
To better understand how sulfur odor interacts with other well water issues, read about complete iron and sulfur removal systems that address multiple contaminants simultaneously.
The Engineering Behind Odor-Free Water
The WellFusion™ Max 90K Sulfur Bundle combines four precision-engineered stages to neutralize hydrogen sulfide, capture sediment, soften water, and disinfect before water enters the home. Stage one deploys the AQUAREX™ Sediment Filter to remove suspended particles that would otherwise foul downstream treatment media. Clean water then flows into the AquaProTec™ Catalytic Carbon Filter, loaded with INDOCARB® E124 media specifically formulated to oxidize hydrogen sulfide and capture sulfur compounds through extended contact time.
Stage three introduces the EVOSOFT™ Water Softener, utilizing cross-linked Aldex C-800 resin engineered to remove calcium and magnesium while maintaining structural integrity under sulfur exposure. This prevents scale formation that would otherwise trap residual sulfur compounds inside plumbing and appliances. The final stage deploys the AquaVRay™ UV System, delivering 40 mJ/cm² of ultraviolet energy to deactivate bacteria and microorganisms that could regenerate sulfur odors downstream.
Every component in this bundle is manufactured in the United States under ISO 9001:2000 certified quality control, with NSF/ANSI 44 certified materials and engineering designed for long-term reliability in high-sulfur well water conditions. The Clack WS1 control valves manage regeneration cycles with precision timing to maintain media effectiveness without water waste.
Pure Water Living Without Compromise
When sulfur odors disappear, daily water use transforms completely. Showers become refreshing without vapor clouds. Laundry emerges clean and neutral-scented. Cooking water no longer affects food flavor. Guests notice nothing unusual because there is nothing unusual to notice. The WellFusion™ Max 90K protects water heaters from sulfur-accelerated corrosion, extends appliance lifespan by preventing scale accumulation, and eliminates the metallic taste that sulfur compounds create when combined with dissolved iron.
Designed for homes with severe sulfur contamination, this system handles up to 27 gallons per minute at minimal pressure drop, supporting multi-story homes and simultaneous fixture use without performance degradation. The 90,000-grain softening capacity ensures consistent water quality across 3,600 square feet of living space, while the 2.5 cubic feet of catalytic carbon provides extended contact time necessary for complete sulfur oxidation. Pure Water. Pure Trust.

Warranty
AQUALIVIA Warranty
At AQUALIVIA, we stand behind the quality of our water treatment systems. Every product is built to last, and we are proud to offer strong warranty coverage for peace of mind. You deal with one company: us. AQUALIVIA is your warrantor, so there is no manufacturer to chase and no one else to negotiate with. One claim, one contact.
What's covered
Coverage is parts-only, for the original purchaser, and runs from the delivery date.
Tanks and core components:
- Mineral tanks: 10 years (up to 13" x 54"), 5 years for larger tanks
- Control valves: 5 years
- Brine tanks: 5 years
- Accessories and components: 1 year
By product:
- AQUAREX Whole House Filter: 5 years
- OZONEX Ozone Systems: 1 year
- AquaVRay UV Systems: 1 year
- HydroClear: 1 year (system only)
- AquaRevive Holding Tank: 3 years
- AquaRevive Reverse Osmosis: 1 year (system only)
Every system: 30-day defect-on-arrival guarantee
"System only" means the unit is covered, but the filters, membranes, cartridges, and lamps inside it are consumables.
What's not covered
- Consumables and wear items: filters, resins, membranes, UV lamps, cartridges, and salt (except a defect on arrival)
- Damage caused by misuse, freezing, flooding, storms, power surges, or improper installation
- Damage caused by a non-AQUALIVIA part, or by operating the system outside normal water conditions or its rated specification
- Installation, labor, plumbing, and property costs
Using a non-AQUALIVIA replacement filter or part does not by itself void your warranty. What is not covered is damage that such a part actually causes.
Reverse osmosis, please note
Under-sink RO systems require professional installation, and we strongly recommend a leak sensor with automatic shutoff in the cabinet. Please read the RO Installation Requirements before installing.
